I think he should stay. We were quickly becoming a mid-table team before he came
Mid-table? You're rewriting history! Arsenal finished 5th in 2019-20, 6th in 2018-19, and 5th in 2017-18 [1] - that's nowhere near mid-table. Under Arteta, they've actually been WORSE initially - finishing 8th twice in a row! [2] Your "mid-table" narrative is complete nonsense. Wenger's final seasons had Arsenal consistently in European spots. Arteta took them to their lowest finish since 1994-95 and made them miss European competition for the first time in 26 years [3]. That's not progress - that's regression disguised as building for the future. Sure, they're better now, but it took five years to get back to where they already were before he arrived. Any competent manager could have maintained 5th-6th place without the painful detour through 8th. Arteta turned a European regular into Europa League dropouts - that's not the foundation myth you think it is.
