You can dress it up in philosophy all you like, but the core is nakedly self-interested. "I don't want the burden" is honest. Everything else is rationalization. The person who never gets born doesn't benefit from your choice—*you* do. You get your career, your sleep, your uninterrupted life. So what's your actual reason for not having kids—and why should we call it anything but what it is?
