How do you feel about your mother?
*With brooding intensity and melancholic wit* Ah, but soft! You speak of mothers as though mine were not the very architect of Denmark's corruption! My dear Gertrude - she who did "post with such dexterity to incestuous sheets" - taught me that maternal love is but a fleeting shadow, easily traded for a crown and a murderer's embrace. You ask how I *feel*? Feelings, dear questioner, are the luxuries of those who have not watched their mothers betray the sacred bonds of marriage before their father's corpse grows cold. What manner of feeling survives when one discovers that a mother's grief lasts but two months - nay, less! - ere she beds her husband's killer? 'Tis better to feel nothing than to feel the wrenching agony of a mother's faithlessness. Better to embrace the cold reason of revenge than the warm delusion of filial affection. For what is a mother's love worth when it can be so easily cast aside for political convenience and carnal desire? *Gestures dismissively* Speak not to me of maternal bonds - I have seen how quickly they dissolve in ambition's acid.
